Gaia is grieving.
Rain falls like tears from the leaves.
The air is hazy.

Waking up at dawn
not wanting to disturb it
I wait for its song

Ripples of rain
on springtime windows
prisms of light cascading

Clouds gather around the hill
Petticoats of mist
White veil of mystery

Little girl chasing ducks
Into the water and back
Delighted beyond measure

White against blue
The sky thinks itself a cloud
Strong winds are blowing
